English Rose maybe nearer the truth than she probably suspects. Many years ago there was an investigative program about so called Mission Hospitals and Clinics in Africa, which were discovered to be funded by the big drugs companies. As best I can remember people were treated for their ills but were unknowingly being given un-licenced drugs for testing purposes. Of course there were the usual denials from all concerned - including the involved governments' health departments....... however - it is funny how two of the most lethal illnesses - Green Monkey Desease (don't hear a lot about it these days) and AIDS - were both heavily suspected of African origins.

Well I am pretty sure that it came from the eaten brains of monkeys and or being bitten by an infected monkey! I don't think any question is bad unless you intended for that which is bad if that's the case!

VICIOUS RUMOR! The original HIV virus did begin in the brains of monkeys in Africa which were likely EATEN. There is no history of people having sex with monkeys causing the HIV virus. The virus, when ingested, eventually transformed and became the HIV virus we know today.

It was stated that Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) in chimpanzees (originating from different species of monkeys). Transmitted into humans became HIV.
