Here is the situation. i had gestational diabetes. I beleive I had it before but didn't know and didn't find out until I was pregnant..Baby was born just perfect no complications!! Thank goodness.

Well I went to doctor and I was sent to a nutritionist and we went over the eating 3 meals and snacks. So I started eating how I was supposed to and my blood sugars are very high. So I decided to take some diet pills and eating very litttle lunch (salad) and maybe a snack for dinner. and my blood sugars seem to have gone down. I know this is not the way the doctor told me to do it but they seem better. I have a drs appt at the end of mont h to do blood work and will ask her then about it. Does anyone have any info or and personal advice on the situation??

If you had gestational diabetes, then more likely than not your going to be diabetic. You can hold it off a little longer with proper eating, and exercise. Do you have family history of diabetes? Who? Are you overweight? Do you eat a lot of carbs? Those are important factors. Diet Pills got to go. All your doing is masking the problem by doing that. It's like putting a band-aid over a cut so you can't see it. It's time to face the truth. Yes you are diabetic or NO your not. There is no magic bullet here. Your damaging your health not knowing. So do away with fad diets so the blood sugar levels are OK when you need them read. BE honest with yourself. Eat the way you will eat for life. A healthy breakfast, lunch smaller and light dinner earlier in the evening. Walk, and drink lots of water.
I'm a diabetic, don't like it, but both parents were, and really had no say in it. I drink flavored waters, no calories or sugar, love them, because I hate water. I walk now. Since I changed my way, I avoid insulin more often it's not needed as much. My last baby, the 5th one I had diabetes,so it was the tell tale sign.
Just step up to the base, take it as it comes, and if your prepared, you'll hit a home run.

Good luck
Rose

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Please do not take diet pills they are no good for the baby

Eating when you are diabetic sometimes that a while to figure out.

When you are eating small meals they are just that sm it is almost like eating three snacks some people have to eat eight times a day

What you pick to eat is very important
eat whole grains for starches for cereal eat the home made hot cereals oat bran cream of wheat red river 12 grain
for breads eat whole grain Demisters is the only one that is whole grain no matter what they say

eating beans (not green and yellow) lentils and that kind of grain.

eating sweet potatoes instead of white
turnip parsnips squash they are better starches
they get into your system slower so they do not put your sugar up
and do not go too long with out eating

when you do your liver will kick in and put up your sugar

if your morning (fasting) sugars are up you need to have a bigger snack at night try including whole grains

for a while check your sugar before and one hour after and two hours after your meals and record what you have eaten that way you will know how the food has effected you.

different foods effects people differently
if you have any more ??'s email me

I have had diabetes now for thirty years and like you I started with diet, and then graduated to pills and finally insulin I find that diet is really the trick to controlling the disease. but if you need some help in the way of pills don't feel bad. with the onset of early intervention, diabetes is not the death sentence it once was. I am now over 60 and plan to die of something other than diabetes

well I don't believe that you are supposed to take diet pills. The diet that they put me on for this condition was a 1200 calorie diet. I lost weight very fast. I thought That I would starve but I didn't! Just stay away from pizza, chips, sweets, fast food and all fryed foods.. I believe you are asking for trouble using the diet pills!! As a matter of fact on the diet my sugar started to fall and I i had problems with hypoglycemia. I've finally gotten my diet figured to level it out. It takes a bit but I did it. It sounds like they had your calorie intake to high. You need to seriously do as the doctor tell you. you may need to start taking med's to lower it!!Good luck to ya!!

It's best to not take matters into your own hands when it comes to diabetes. You have a child to think about now and you want to be around and healthy for him.
