Honey is a type of sugar, and sugar does not cure diabetes. Honey has more carbohydrates and more calories than sugar. You could use less honey, but whatever you save in carbs would be negligible. About the only advantages of honey would be certain minerals that may help diabetes, assuming it is unfiltered summer honey.

There is no cure for diabetes .
Honey has no place in a diabetic diet.It is liquid sugar and imho- a waste of carbs.
P.S. Never ever eat or drink anything that is not pasteurized. Natural honey can be deadly to people who have compromised immune systems like we do.This goes for apple juice or cider and milk and eggs too.

Honey is sweet like sugar, but may be easier for your body to use or store than processed sugar. Make sure if you use honey to measure the carb intake. Coming out low is a bad thing.
