Vegans would not consume "normal" ice cream. There are lots of vegan alternatives.

I like Temptation Ice Cream best (By Chicago Soy Dairy.) They're a vegan company and don't share the lines with any other products so there is no concern about cross contamination.

Soy Delicious is also good (by Turtle Mountain, another vegan company.)

Tofutti's products are ok, but I'm not fond of the company as they sell salmon cream cheese.

Soy and Rice Dream are also available, but I don't think they are very good and the company (Imagine) sells chicken soup and broth, so I'm not fond of them either.

I've also had Oatscreame, it was ok soft serve, but I found it to be terrible from the freezer case. It had a strong aftertaste of oatmeal.

Coconut ice cream (which you can find at Asian marketplaces) is pretty good.

No they cannot. I was gonna be a vegan but I stayed vegetarian because I cannot stop eating cookies and ice cream! Then again there are some good ice creams with soy milk instead of real milk so go ahead and eat all the ice cream you want. YAY!

Try soy dream ice cream. Deeeelish! Regular ice cream made from milk and cream is not a vegan food, but thank goodness there are good substitutes out there!

Hasn't even ever tried Whole Soy frozen yogurt? It is so much better than the standard soy ice creams and it is incredibly low in fat.

The Swiss Dark chocolate is my favorite with some fresh strawberries and soy whipped cream. Mmmmmmmm..

Can we? Vegans eat anything we want, there is no veggie police. Do we? No, vegans don't eat ice cream. If a person eats it, s/he is not a vegan.

There are plenny soy ice creams out there, and don't let anyone discourage you from eating them. They're so tasty! I love the Soy Delicious mint chocolate chip, and also their very strawberry soy cream flavors. Scrummy!

there are certain soy based ice creams, sure they cost more but that is the price to pay for being a vegan.

besides milk, regular ice cream contains emulsifiers (flavouring) and colouring which may be obtained from animal. vegetarians should also avoid ice cream.
