Donated blood has to be free of any medicine. Even if your glucose level is OK, if you take medicine for diabetes, you cannot donate because your medicine would go to the person that receives that blood and cause some trouble.

I'm also a type II diabetic and I donate blood regularly. As long as your iron levels are normal they will accept it. If for some reason they can't use it, they will inform you by mail.

So, yes you can donate blood as long as you don't have any other illnesses.

Donors with well-established (not recently diagnosed) diabetes, who are controlled by diet, oral medications and/or insulin therapy, are eligible to donate.

i am type 1 diabetes and no soz u cant i used before but cant now its a shame hey x
