With all the pollution in the oceans there are health advisories about eating fish, especially raw. The suggestions are provided by the Board of Health, Surgeon General, even the FDA. Do what the blonds do. Pick up some sushi , bring it home and cook it very well (ha-ha snuck in a blond joke)

To be the voice of reason here, techincally, it IS possible to eat too much of anything.
Even Sushi.
Especially Sushi if it contains raw fish. I am a huge sushi advocate, and I eat it about three times a week but I am hesitant to eat it more than that, and I am trying to cut down, due to metal contents in fish, declining fish populations due to overfishing, and the risk (slight) of food-borne illness and bacteria.

Eating suishi outside of Japan is playing Russian Roulette. Raw fish often carries parasites which can cause disease ranging from a mild stomach ache, to serious long term disability. Although most 'fresh' suishi, has in fact been frozen and freezing kills many parasites, some can survive it. In Japan, suishi chefs generally undergo very vigorous training and can identify really fresh fish and parasitic infection. In the US, I seen 'sushi' which was obviously prepared by imbiceles. I wouldn't buy sushi in a supermarket or a cheap restaurant, but stick to high end places whose chefs were trained in Japan. To be safe, don't eat it at all. The tapeworm you save, may be the one who doesn't take up residence in your gut.

please don't confuse sushi with sashimi. sashimi is fish. sushi is a rice roll with vegetables and sometimes (often actually) crab, fish etc.....my sushi is made with vegetables, egg, ginger and vinegar-ed rice wrapped with nori. i am vegetarian and much sushi is made without fish at all. That how my grandmother did it.
