I have to stand behind Tay J on this answer too.
The second person is just completely wrong about herpes. They can, and DO affect both areas. Usually herpes simplex virus 1 is cold sores, but I personally have genital herpes caused by herpes simplex virus 1. I'm proof that herpes can be spread by oral sex!
Of course some STDs are spread more easily by oral sex than others, but oral sex is still sex, and can spread STDs.

You can contract skin to skin viruses like genital herpes and gential warts. These viruses usually take 2-20 days to show symptoms. Genital herpes can cause pain while urinating since blisters can sometimes appear in the urethra. However, since you've been checked, you might be having a UTI. Ask them to do another urine test and see if the white blood cell count is normal. If the count is way above normal it is likely you have a UTI.

Yes you can, from giving oral sex almost every Std can be contracted to the mouth, the mucus membrane, and droplets can be transferred from one person to the next.

No you cannot. Cold sores and Herpes are the same family but cannot cross infect. 'AIDS' even if you believe in it has NEVER been transmitted by oral sex the CDC says although they claim it is possible in theory.
Oral sex is very safe.
P. S. TayJ is talking utter garbage.
