Pasta is a low cholesterol food. Meats, some oils, butter, eggs (to name a few) are your high cholesterol foods) Eat lean means only. Limit eggs (no need to eliminate them), broil whenever you can, never fry unless using maybe a few tablespoons of olive oil or canola, eat more fish, use whole wheat pasta and whole wheat and whole grain breads, or healthier eating in general, limit the use of butter (which doesn't mean resorting to margarine!)
If it's just cholesterol you're watching, then as I suggested. If it's eating healther, then definitely never eat Hamburger Helper.
If you meant to say carbohydrates (instead of cholesterol)... then yes.. pasta is very high in carbohydrates, as is white breads, fruits, white potatoes. If this is the issue, eat whole grains (read labels.. some packaging says it's whole grain but has enriched flour or wheat flour on the label... which is the white flour that's not terribly beneficial), whole wheat pastas in limited amounts, sweet potatoes, etc. All in moderation. Basically the key is to heat healthy carbs in healthy portions. Fruit, but limited, pastas and breads, whole grains and limited, etc.

Stop eating the hamburger helpers.
If you really cannot bear the thought of giving up your pasta, then prepare your own organic, whole grain pasta.
It is so easy to make simple things to add in: sauteed chicken or fish, celery, sliced carrots, pepper.
If you give up the hamburger as well as the hamburger helper type products, you will radically lower both your cholesterol and sodium intake. High sodium causes high blood pressure in many people.
Also, find iodized sea salt either online or at your local grocer. It has more minerals and some nutritionists feels it actually helps lower blood pressure.
Why not try substituting brown rice or whole wheat couscous once in a while for the pasta. Couscous, especially, is so easy to make -- basically 1 cup water to every one cup couscous.

You need to stay away from hamburger helper if you are watching your cholesterol - that stuff can kill you...too high in sodium and a bunch of stuff you don't need.
If you love pasta, use some olive oil in a pan, add some chopped garlic and onion, and then toss in some ground lean beef or turkey. Add some veggies...snow peas, peas, broccoli, asparagus, spinach, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes...whatever you like. Throw in some crushed red pepper flakes, oregano and basil and toss it all with some cooked pasta!
Way easy and way better for you!

Stop with the helper. Just saute up some diced up boneless/skinless chicken breast in some olive oil and garlic, put your drained pasta in the skillet when the chicken is done and mix it all up. You can add whatever kind of veggies you like also.
You can do variations using different types of meat but with high cholesterol you should stick with chicken or fish. You can also use mushrooms.
Look in the your store for lots of different sauces and even marinades, you can use them, just read the label to find the healthy ones.

Try using a soy hamburger substitute such as Morningstar Farms' Burger Crumbles or Bocca's meatless ground. If there is plenty of flavor in the other ingredients, nobody will notice the change, and you get a lot less fat, no cholesterol, and the good stuff in soy that's heart-healthy. The less-greasy taste is so good you'll soon prefer it to hamburger.

First, stop using "name" brand products. Make it from Scrach, using Kosher hamber, and no Cheese? then you can stop taking your meds for that, your cho. will go down.
