You really can't put a number on that, like 25% or 70%. There is just no way to know.

So people can sleep with 100 people and never contract a STD, while others sleep with one or two people and contract a STD. So, it's really hard to put a number on that.

Of course the more people a person has sex with, typically the more likely they are to contract a STD compared to someone who has been with fewer people though.

I personally contracted two incurable STDs from the second guy I had ever had sex with. The first guy I was with for almost 4 years.

If a person is going to have sex then there is always going to be a risk of contracting a STD. That is why it is so important to know your STD history and your partners STD history before you jump in bed with them. You are responsible for your own health - no one else.

Hi there,

Your talking about a crap shoot or playing Russian Roulette. If a person does not have an std they can not pass it on to you. By "virgin" do you mean have never had intercourse or never had sex in any form? Remember, not all stds require intercourse for them to be transferred. Some stds can be passed on simply by being in close proximity to an infected persons genitals, rectum and mouth. Also, when you have sex with someone, you are also "having sex" with every person they have been with as well. How long can you "hold out" before you get one is simply playing the odds unless you practice safer sex guidelines to help protect yourself.

Cheers.

Until you come to one who has an STD, if thats what you want.

Virgin or not, if your first sexual partner has an STD, you will get that STD.

STD's can cause infertility and even impotence.
