Recently i discovered that i've have what painfully looks like HSV-2. From what I know, genital herpes can only be contracted by intercourse with someone who already has it which is impossible in my case because I never had intercourse, I'm not even legal.

From what I see, it looks like exactly like acne with a white blotch in the middle and red around but doesn't appear in clusters like what I've read, there only is one. I'd like to stay optimistic and say that this is just one messed up case of acne and puberty.

I also read that it cannot be contracted from things like toilet seats and others.

What are your views on my case? All the evidence points away from what I think it is but the devil's advocate's playing inside me keeps me from thinking the best.

hsv is herpes simplex virus.... i would go and see a doctor if i were you.... if only to put your mind at ease.

don't try to self-diagnose, and don't be embarrassed, doctors see all sorts of things and aren't fazed by anything.

The best advice and the ONLY advice you should take on this subject is GO SEE A DOCTOR. If you have never had sex before, then you can be sure it's not an STD. However, a few weeks ago I was told about a bacterial infection that is becoming more and more common, MRSA. It is primarily found in people who have been hospitalized, or incarcerated. HOWEVER...more and more cases are being reported in people who havent been in either situation. It is something that is contagious & can easily infect any part of your body, even on/by your genitals.
I dont believe it is fatal... but does require antibiotics, etc.
But honestly, whenever you have concerns about your health...especially in that area... see a doctor immediately.
Good Luck and (I'm sure it will)...hope all turns out well.

It might not be herpes.
However, herpes CAN be spread without having sex. It can be transfered through oral sex. It can also be transmitted through yourself- if you have a cold sore, touch it (cold sore) and then touch your genitals without washing your hands properly, you could transmit it that way as well.
Follow up with your primary doctor or a health dept. If it is something infectious, you need to be seen so you can be placed on the approriate medicines.

Probably not. Even doctors can misdiagnose the condition. Ask yourself if you have the symptoms (although the most common symptom is no symptom at all). You are a virgin but have you been in contact with someone who might be infected (without actually having sex but coming close?).

These are all questions to ask yourself but the best bet is to see your health practitioner and don't be embarrased as after the common cold, its probably the most widespread condition in the world.

Go to a doctor and get that blister checked.

Blisters can be due to many reasons and if you are a virgin, you don,t have an STD.
