I have been wearing a cpap for around 4 months and every time I wear it I have alot of gas. I know I am swallowing air when I am sleeping that is the cause of the gas but is there something I am not doing right? Is swallowing too much air bad for me? Will it cause health problems etc? just wondering Has anybody els have this problem?

Would be good to check with your home care company for something that fits better. Make sure your mouth stays closed while sleeping; use the chin strap! Proper airway positioning is also important; your head should be in a "sniffing" position, not too far forward or backward. Try these tips, they will make a difference, if not then It is likely the pressure of your machine needs to be adjusted to better fit your breathing, your doctor may want to sleep test you to determine proper pressure for you.
Don't know if all that air would cause health problems but it must be uncomfortable -- stomach pain, restrict air movement, interrupt sleep? Take care of yourself :-)

I have been using a cpac machine for over 2 years and have not suffered from wind except when drinking soft drinks/carbonated water.
