i recently had sex with a girl who had sex with a guy before me that she is concerned may have something. she told me today that they did not need to prick her or use any needles at the clinic during the testing. does this mean she did not test for everything or are there other ways to test for everything. this is important due to not knowing if i should trust her if everything tests ok. i would just like to know if there are other ways to test for all diseases. thanks.

best test is everything. If you are not sure how "free" she was with former dates. Anything from HIV to Hepatitis, to STD's, and infections can arise and some take months even years to show up. Play it safe and get tested yourself and ask her to come clean with you, it is your life she is toying with. Your local health dept/clinic does test free of charge. Blood test is the most accurate way of testing. A urine test is not in itself reliable and neither is a vaginal swab.

What tests were she meant to be having?
I believe that they usually do tests for STI's with swabs, but i know for definite that they test for HIV/Hepatitis by blood tests (with needles) - so therefore if she was tested for these she would've had a puncture mark.
Tell her not to mess with your head and that you need to know the truth because it's your life she's messing with - not just her own.
If she were a decent girl she wouldn't lie to you about this kind of thing.
If you feel she's not being truthful go and get yourself tested, you need to look after yourself even if she doesn't.
Good luck, i hope it goes ok.
Remember safe sex every time.

You need to get checked for just about everything - just to be safe. Make sure that if you have sex with this woman again that you wear a raincoat.

you want to inform your modern-day and previous companions, because you do not recognize once you've been contaminated. no longer understanding your companions' historic previous and sexual practices is risky. you want to apply this to commence a frank communicate about those topics with your new guy, if he keeps seeing you.
