Can hpv be transmitted through kissing a guy on the lips?

I gave two bjs and kissed many people, but I am completely a virgin, htere has never been vaginal contact with anyone or anything; so

if i had sex with someone new with or without protection, would they still contract the hpv iof i have it?

Would it not be pointless to get a pap test or whatever if the only contact I had with people was through my mouth?

Would there still be signs of it where nothing has ever been?

WOW...please ignore the answerer above me (ineh89). I reported her by the way.

To answer your question though...HPV is usually not transmitted by kissing. I'm sure it can be, but it's usually not. Unless a person has warts in their mouth I highly doubt you would get the virus. You can however contract herpes from oral sex. If a guy has genital herpes and you give him oral sex it's possible for you to contract the virus and get cold sores from it.

HPV is generally trasnmitted by sex (vaginal and anal). If you have never had vaginal or anal sex I really doubt you would have HPV. You can always go to your doctor and get a pap smear done though just to be sure.

Also, have you heard anything about the new HPV vaccine called Gardasil? If not, you might want to look into it. It's for women ages 9 - 26. ANY woman can get it, whether they have had sex or not, or have HPV or not (a lot of people think you have to be a virgin and that's NOT true). This new vaccine protects against 4 different kinds of HPV, two known to cause about 90% of genital wart cases and two known to cause about 70% of cervical cancer cases. If a woman already has HPV it won't cure her of it, but it can possibly prevent her from contracting a kind of HPV she doesn't already have. Say, for example, a young girl only has one kind of HPV that the vaccine prevents. Theoretically, if she gets the vaccine, she'll be protected from contracting the other 3 kinds of HPV that the vaccine protects against.

Wow. That is something that you should call your doctor and ask. I could tell you what I know but if I am wrong you might make things worse. Besides that, if you have something you should be treated for it anyways.
