I just had a Kimchi Ramyun soup for lunch, and I keep wondering what the bright red stuff is that you can see in there. Is that natural?

The bright red pieces are natural, they are pieces of red chili peppers that are added in the kimchi. Kimchi is made with red chili pepper bits (dried and finely ground up) as well as a red chili pepper sauce.

Hope that helps~!

I luv kimchi. It is made from cabbage, red peppers and i think like a rice vinegar. There are different varieties but the hot stuff is the main one you get in most restaurants these days. The red stuff is hot red chili peppers and yes it's natural and pretty good for you too!

Kim-chi is very good. I love it. the red parts are pieces of red peppers, to give it some spice. The main ingredient is cabbage.

Kimchee is fermented cabbage. That's what the red stuff is.
