my daughters first birthday is comming up soon and i need some healthy recipes that children and adults will both enjoy :). preferably one-pot meals or casseroles, anyone know any good recipes?? :)

Just have every family bring a dish, that way everyone will have something that somebody in their family will eat. You could assign categories so you don't end up with a bunch of main course foods. It would be alot easier for you and I'm sure your guests would probably not mind since it's for the princess.

there's some good family style recipes and children recipes on www.fatresistancediet.com. they're really healthy and nutritous and the recipes are by jonathan galland, a health writer. one of my fave recipes for children on there is the pineapple orange granita. hope this helps!

babies like their foods to be simple. it's a party for a one yr old, so keep it simple. slices of fruit, cheerios, bread w/jelly, slices of lunch meat..... don't go overboard -this way you can have fun, too. she's only 1 once.

Roast a turkey! Our grand-daughter totally gnawed on a wing. (Yes, we watched for the bones) When her mother left she asked for an extra wing or leg for the trip! She said it was the first solid food her daughter had eaten with such gusto!
