Is just the smell of cigg.smoke considered second hand?

i smell cigg.smoke in my bathroom coming from next door. could it be harmful for my 9 month son

If you are smelling it you are inhaling millions of molecules of it. YES, you and your son are being exposed to it. Talk to the landlord.

I'm not sure but I've wondered the same thing. I tend to think that probably the smell of smoke isn't unhealthy, I mean if you smoke in your car when you're alone, your car will smell like smoke even the next morning when there is no "smoke" in the car. it wouldn't be second hand smoke at that point. I think however that the smell could still have adverse affects on respiratory illness like asthma.
