i think i have thrush, is there anything i can do by myself 2 mke it go away coz im way 2 embarrased 2 tell mi mom???

Yes, you can use gentian violet. You can get it at any pharmacy, though I don't know what section it would be in. It is a dark purple liquid that you dip a clean Q-tip in and then rub that on the surfaces in your mouth that have the thrush. You can't eat or drink for atleast a 1/2 hour after words and it doesn't taste very good. We had to do that for my first daughter when she was little. I would advise you to see a doctor though.

PS, thrush does not have to be transmitted sexually. Obviously, if babies can get it there are other ways like stress, certain medications, hormonal changes, to mention a few. So don't worry about being embarassed. Just get good medical care as it can get painful. Plus, you don't want to treat yourself for something you don't have.Good luck.

If you are concerned that you may have contracted something through sexual contact and are uncomfortable with telling your parent(s), I would advise visiting a Planned Parenthood or similar facility. It is confidential.
I went with a friend of mine years ago when she was being tested for some things. They were very professional and non-judgemental.
Clinical care is always better than self-treatment. This way they can diagnose you properly. :)
