Yeah, it's made of fish so it's not ok for vegetarians. If you want a fish flavor for your cooking you can get kelp powder from the health food store to put in the food.

Vegetarians don't eat fish, so no, it's not okay. It's good that you are asking beforehand, very considerate of you.
Vegetarians don't eat any flesh, and fish paste is made of fish flesh. Those who do eat flesh, but only from fish, are called piscivores. A piscivore is not a vegetarian. Hope this clears it up.
Btw, chicken eaters are not vegetarians either. Just clarifying, 'cause some people still think that vegetarians eat chicken. Let me state this clearly for everyone who is unclear:
Vegetarians do not eat flesh of any animal, and chicken & fish are animals too.
Okay okay, I'll get off the soapbox. I'm glad you are asking this beforehand, though. : ^ )

Some fish paste is made out of fish paste and that's not good for vegetarian food. Vegetarian(s) would be furious at you if you gave them fish pasted food! Vegetarians don't eat any meats at all! Put fish paste in vegetarian foods is akin to putting eggs in a Vegan food.. only a total dufes would do such a thing! Smart people don't do such stupid things!

No, do not use it if you are preparing food for a vegetarian. Vegetarians do not eat fish. If someone did not eat meat, but ate fish, they are a pescatarian.
But thanks for caring! Most people don't care at all about whether or not they use animal product in a vegetarian's food. They just figure that they will never notice or know.

Hi! No... it's not okay... It is made out of fish, but there are some people who call themselves vegetarians and do eat fish, so you should ask. But a real veggie, no way. It's nice of you to think, I'm sure they will appreciate it :] Hope I helped! xx

no. you should not use fish paste. thats like spitting on someone beliefs!
there are so many better things for you that grow naturally, or you can even buy meat substitutes now, that would be a much better alternative.
maybe replace the fish paste with humus?

fish paste is made out of fish. The fish after being killed is then pulverized and made into a paste.
