Yes, it's normal. If you become addictive about taking your pressure, you will find it spikes and jumps throughout the day. Personally, I wish my mom hadn't bought one of those things. She takes her pressure many times a day, constantly worried about the numbers, and sharing the pressures with me and asking what I think. I tell her to put the damn thing away, take your pressure once in the morn, and again in the eve, if you notice a pattern, then call the doc. Another thing to note about this, all monitors are not created equal, your monitor may show you have elevated digits, but when you go to the doc, it's not, or vice verca. Slightly elevated for short amounts of time is normal.

Coming off a night of sleep is most likely the cause of your lower blood pressure in the morning. Throughout the day, when you are moving around and doing whatever it is that you do during a day, your BP rises.

Your BP does fluctuate during the day. Its most likely to be the sudden movement from resting to standing and activity. This is called the postural drop/rise. Unless there is a large difference and constant rise see your doctor. If you are concerned at all about your BP and its fluctuations see your doctor. best wishes to you.

I would have thought it would have been the other way about. Normaly blood pressure drops during the night as does pulse so morning reading would be lowest.

BP follows the bodies standard diurnal circadian rhythm.
It rises from the morning when you get up and begins to drop at about 5-6 pm. It reaches its lowest point at about 3am.

DONT TAKE ONE READING AND IF ITS HIGH START WORRYING, UR BP CHANGES ALL THE TIME. IF UR BHP IS HIGH IN THE MORNI NG IT MAY BE DOWN TO U HAVING A BAD NIGHTS SLEEP, BAD DREAMS ETC. EVERY NOW AND THEN I DREAM I AM BEING CHASED AND WHEN I WAKE UP I AM EXHASUSTED AND I CAN FEEL MY HEART BEATING FAST AND MY HEAD I FEEL MY VEINS PUMPING BLOOD THROUGH, ICAN LITARELLY CHECK MY PULSE WHEN THIS HAPPENS JUST BY FEELLING THE THROBBING BUT NOT PAINFULL BEATS.
UR BP WILL RISE AND DROP ALL DAY, GENERALLY IF U SIT OR LIE DOWN AND COMPLETELY RELAX THEN UR BP SHOULD BE FINE, BUT IF UR STRESSED ETC IT WILL RISE.
ONLY CONTACT UR SURGERY IF UR BP READINGS ARE
EITHER CONSTANTLY TOO HIGH OR TO LOW

Yes, BP fluctuates throughout the day thats why it is recommended to test often and at different times then do an average.

b.p is different
standing up,
sitting down,
the posistion of your arm,
what you've done just prior to taking it
if you've just had a ciggie,
if you've just had a alcholic drink.
plus, any electronic blood pressure machine be it hospital or home tend to be woefully unaccurate. get yourself a sphygmomanometer, which is a manual b.p cuff, far more accurate.
