Sores can last several weeks without medication, especially the first outbreak.

With medication it can last about a week or week and 1/2.

In 1983 I was diagnosed while in the Airforce with genital Herpes. The outbreak consisted of tiny blisters around my genital area. I was given some cream and pills to take, but that did no good. I just gained an attitude of letting it ride its' course out.

Since I have a don't give a darn attitude that may be why I don't break out. Less stress less worry.

Now get this!! Now in the year 2007 already I have not had another outbreak since. So it is true that it can go dormant and never show up again. I guess I have been one of the lucky ones, but still I wonder how in the world how I picked it up when I was not with anybody except my girfriend at the time and she tested negative.

So all I can tell you is I would not put a big issue and worry too much about it because nerves and stress is definitely a trigger for an outbreak.

I have shared with you all I can say based on personal experience, but I will say this. Ever since that dignosis, I became to paranoid to lay down with anybody fearing that I may catch something else. So I refrained from sex until marriage after that and thus far I am happy as ever. So good luck and hopefully it will go away and not come back.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?

But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

In most cases 2 to 3 days but if the outbreak is bad up to 2 weeks.

After a time it will burn itself out.

first of all, it doesn't mean u have herpes. could be just a build up of some sort of oil maybe i dunno...but i mean why would it just be one...but i'm glad ur getting help, b/c u never really know...maybe it's not herpes..could be a cyst...could be of no concern...
take care.
