Of course! A 12 year old can also remain abstinent, you care about yourself that much. Anyone can have sex, protected at all times. It takes an intelligent person to not do so. Make the guys like you, for you. They will respect a virgin more. STD's are on the rise, people have them and do not have any idea, alcohol dulls your thinking and the regrettable happens, then life is over. A 12 year old having sex is likely being manipulated by someone who is older into having sex.
A 12 year old often lacks the basic information about biology and risk to be engaging in sex.
