I really don't care about the animals. I became vegetarian for health reasons. When I stopped eating meat, I started eating a lot more healthy vegetables and beans. I don't worry about cheeseburgers and junk like that because I don't eat meat. It works for me.

It doesn't affect me either way so long as they don't push their ideology on me or try to dissuade me from eating what I like. Eating healthy doesn't make a guy any less "manly".

Why do you lump all women together?

If this is an ongoing problem for you, then I'd honestly suggest that you find your local chapter of a vegetarian organization and join it. Go to the meetings and activities. You'll broaden your social network, and you'll know that you'll have at least one thing in common with any eligible women you meet there.

Check the link below. I doubt you'll see an "wimps" among the men on these lists.

dont worry about it. the women that think vegetarian men are wimps are the same ones that look at men and think of ways to separate them from their money (gold-diggers). my girlfriend is wondering where i found the strength to stop eating meat considering both of our families are very traditional. after dinner the men typically retreat to the room that has the tv showing sports and enjoy roast beef and onion sandwiches while the women do the cleanup thing. there are drawbacks to every situation, overcoming common perceptions is one of the big problems with becoming a vegetarian.

i think of females want a guy who can arise for himself whilst required and not be a push over. it is whilst the niceness turns into overbearing that adult men get branded "wimps". Then there is yours extremely who fairly could no longer supply a toss what type of a guy that's as long as they're respiration.

I don't think guy vegetarians are wimps. Maybe it's just a sterotype that guys eat meat and lots of it. I wouldn't worry about it so much, anyone who judges you as less of a man for it, just isn't educated enough to understand it.

I'm a female and I generally find vegetarian/vegan guys more attractive. They are usually more openminded and yet they have principles and a goal in life. I like guys with opinions/dreams/visions who care about something more besides getting laid.

But maybe this is because I'm a vegan too. It's hard for me to connect to people who criticise me as soon as they find out I'm a vegan. Although I dont feel like I'm at loss here. It makes it easier for me to see those that are worth noticing.

Why dont you just try focusing on women that share your interests?

I don't think veggie men are wimps. Of course, I'm a veggie too...I am certain that I could not marry a meat-eating man. I prefer someone whose beliefs are similar to mine.

So what are you saying, Worrying about animals is wimpy? Since when did compassion become a negative trait?

I think vegetarian men are cool - have to be a man of strong convictions to be vegetarian as it is not seen as very manly in our society.

WIMPY: is pretending you don't know how horrific, filthy and revolting the meat industry is and pretending it is fine to abuse, mistreat and toture animals just to eat a rasher of bacon.
