well, a person can get an STD and still be a virgin, like herpes or hepatitis from oral sex...so you are not safe even with a virgin.
you can also pass bacterial infection like yeast and other types, which you can get with out ever fooling around at all...
why chance it?!

Some STDs, like HIV,and AIDS, are transmitted through the blood, meaning a mother can transmit a STD to an unborn child....Not only that but serious fondling were the penis comes in close proximity with the Virgina (EVEN if there is no intercourse taking place) can result in the transmission of STDs
PS. For serious heath questions contact your local "planned pregnancy" Don't get your information from random people on the Internet...It could cost you your life....or at least your health...A visit to the clinic before having sex with a new partner "even if it is your first time" is always the safest bet. they can test both parties for STD and help with birth control....Also in is confidential so don't worry about anyone finding out if your just curious....For more info contact me directly

Slim to none.
The only ways virgins have STDs are these:
1. They have had other types of non intercourse sex with an infected person (oral, hand contact with other and then touching themselves).
2. Family member with STD where they shared dirty towels or intimate garments.
3. Congenital-mom had an STD and passed to the child.
These are all extremely rare instances. Extremely unlikely.
Ask the other virgin partner if they are symptomatic of anything--itching, sores, discharge, etc. If you are thinking about being intimate, these are things to consider.
As well, you are still always best served by using condoms.

Wow, the people above me are pretty optimistic about your health outcome. I would still suggest using condoms.
Look out for STIs, Sexually Transmitted Infections. See link.
"Adolescents and young adults (15-24) are the age groups at the greatest risk for acquiring an STD, with 3 million becoming infected each year."

Plenty.
Millions of childer have HIV and who are virgins. They may have contracted the virus during pregnancy and delivery, through blood products, through surgical procedures from an infected health care provider.
Given that there is also a small possibility that blood borne viruses can also change to airborne viruses is something that should concern everyone.

you will get an STD from all people through body fluids which include blood or mucus. they are called STD's because the finest thanks to get them is through having sex. i be conscious of someone who were given AIDS from their father utilizing his razor. you would possibly want to also be born with an STD. the fact is although that the percentages are a great deal higher for those drowsing round. Virgins are somewhat safer.

Virgin is what sense? I know alot of technical virgins who do "anything but" including genital touching and mutual masturbation. If that is the case, a person who has never had intercourse (and fools themselves into believing that oral sex and mutual masturbation aren't sex), may in fact have an STI. Use condoms!
