It is most likely an infection, if the pain becomes greater and you have high temperature you need to go to the nearest emergency department. There may be a slight chance of reproductive problems if you let the infection become real serious.
Here is some info from the Alaska Dept Health & Social Services.
Infection
Bacterial infection is an uncommon complication of abortion. Rates are low: less than 1% in vacuum aspiration abortion, but may be slightly higher for later abortion procedures. Bacteria from the vagina can enter the dilated cervix and from there, go upward into the uterus and fallopian tubes. Antibiotics are often given at the time of abortion to "head off" potential infections. Antibiotics will be used to treat any infection that develops. Rarely, repeat suction or surgery may be needed. Prompt reporting by the woman of any infection symptoms is important to reduce the seriousness of an infection and potential complications. Symptoms of infection may include fever and chills, increasing pain, odorous vaginal discharge and increased bleeding.

No, that is not possible unless it was done in a nonsteril environment. Even then, it is remote. Cramping and abdominal pains are normal. Causes for concern are clots bigger than a quarter or soaking 1 or more thick pads within an hour. Some women experience nausea with vomiting. Resting in bed and drinking lots of water is prefered. These should subside with a few days. Just keep the appt as scheduled. And take it easy until then. Or if pains get worsen (they shouldn't) vist the Er. Good luck! ;)

Was the evironment sterile? Was the equipment clean? Its highly unlikely that you caught an STD from the instruments. More likely you have an infection that was caused by the abortion. I'd recommend getting to the doctor as soon as you can. Also, you might want to go to another practicioner, and not the one who performed the abortion.

An abortion procedure shouldn't be the cause of an std. Equipment is usually sterilized and medical staff usually are aware of basic procedures to reduce transmission of bacteria or viruses.
I wouldn't wait. There are usually local hospital or walk in clinics that many people can get to. Pain and discharge is a sign that something is going on.

Where did you get done? You should make sure that the instruments they used where either sterilized correctly, or brand new. I have never had an abortion so I dont know what you should expect afterwards. But I know people who have. They seemed perfectly fine after 2 or 3 days. If your symptoms last longer than that, you should go to a different dr. ASAP.

You can't get an STD from that but it really sounds like an infection. I've previously had an abortion and what you are describing is not normal. You should get checked out ASAP.
