Well, since Im Chinese, i no that most chinese food here in the US is nothing like real Chinese food. If you know anybody that lived in China or an adult thats Chinese, ask them. Usually Chinese adults still cook Chinese food.

Try the search engines... Try Wikipedia, type in "Chinese Food" and it would explain more than you need, leading you to external links which I have found helpful too. I am Chinese and I have learnt a lot of things i do not know from here too.
