None of the above. Sushi was originally created as a method of preserving raw, gutted fish by mixing it with rice which would ferment and "preserve" the fish. Back then, the fermented rice would be discarded and only the fish would be eaten.
That was in 4,000 BC.
Now most people have refrigerators to preserve their food and ovens and stoves with which to prepare (COOK) it
In my opinion, anyone not living in abject poverty with no viable alternative who eats sushi is a poser trying to be cool. It's one of the cheapest "foods" to make and idiot sushi eaters will spend $40 on a few piles or wraps of raw food that my dog won't even eat.
There are plenty of ways to eat healthy without participating in rituals that are no linger relevant.
Civilized people with the ways and means eat food they like, not food that's trendy and allegedly cool.

If you are entry level sushi eater or do not really want anything too exotic, I would recommend you to start out with some rolls. The tempura roll, spiderroll (has fried cripsy soft shell crab pieces) are easy to eat. Of course california roll is another one. If you're ready to explore raw sushi, most people will start with salmon, fresh or smoked. They taste kind of sweet and unique and smell fantastic because of its natural oil. Tuna does not seem to have much special taste to me, but it is usually quite easy to eat for most new "eaters". However, some people might find the meat color and texture a little hard to deal with. If you like teriyaki sauce and cooked fish, try the unagi (eel grilled in teriyaki sauce). The most hardcore thing on your sushi menu would be uni (sea urchin), but once you try it, most people either absolutely love it or hate it or want to throw up. I happen to find it super authentic and it tastes like nothing else in the whole world!

Those are all good ones. Try looking around for a place that has "chefs choice" on the menu. The chef will serve you what he's in the mood to make and you get to sample several different things. You never know what you'll like, it's how I got hooked on Salmon Skin Handrolls!

The Maguro and Shake - tuna and salmon, are both nice and light... not too fishy for fish! lol! Also california rolls are very popular - no raw fish, just cooked crab, and they are very good!
I would recommend starting with those, and then see what you like...get a little more adventurous after that! If you like tuna, spicy tuna rolls are also delicious!

Shrimp tempura roll.
Imitation crab roll with spicy mayonnaise.
Eel roll. (Eel is very good, is cooked and usually has a sweet sauce on it. It has a very mild taste)
California roll with cream cheese
These are a few to start with that are not fishy and are not raw. Even my pickiest friends like these.
