I having a tripple fusion on my back. My Neurosurgion wants my Cardioligist to clear me for surgery. What tests should my Cardioligist do.

It's mandatory to get a cardiac clearance before a patient undergoes operation under General Anesthesia, all that he will do EKG/BP/Pulse and on the basis of it, he will decide weather you are fit /unfit to undergo GA (general anesthesia). If he is keen he will see your chest xray, but it's the duty of the anesthetist to check your case sheet and give OK to the surgeon.
So no need to worry, it's a routine mandatory procedure.

Cardiologists evaluate people to clear them for surgery all the time, and I'm sure yours will know what to do. It would be impossible for any of us, not knowing you or your medical history, to tell you which tests you need. I hope all goes well with the clearance and the surgery.
