if that messed me up to have kids this was my first papsmear or do you have to catch the peivic inflamtory

Most people who get infections like gonorrhea and chlamydia NEVER show symptoms. That's why it's important to get tested regularly.

When you got your Pap smear, the doctor should have also done a pelvic exam to check the condition of your internal reproductive organs. Did s/he do that? If so, did the doctor not say anything about his or her findings?

Pelvic inflammatory disease causes infertility by clogging the Fallopian tubes and uterus with scar tissue. That can make it hard for eggs to float through the reproductive tract and it can make implantation difficult.

If your infection didn't quite get to the point of becoming PID, then chances are you should be able to bear children.

But in the future, you should use condoms with all partners (even long term partners!) and get tested for STDs at least every 6 months.

You received these STD's from a man and you both should be treated with medication to get rid of it. As long as it is not ignored and treated, you shouldnt have any problems conceiving.
