I have herpes, and i have never had children. I want to get a IUD. Is this possible? Or would they say no because of those things?

Im in a long term relationship with the guy who gave it to me (he is the ONLY guy i've ever been with, and he cheated on me with a whore and gave it to me). If we break up i dont plan on being sexually active again. Im just the victim.

Please don't consider yourself a victim. MILLIONS of people have herpes and MILLIONS of them have a normal life and sex life. You shouldn't let having herpes hinder your happiness and your life.

Doctors won't refuse you to get a IUD or any other birth control if you want one. Having herpes or no children doesn't make a difference.

I have had genital herpes for 6 years and I've tried two birth control methods - the pill and the shot. The doctors didn't refuse to give me either one.

Good luck and take care!

You can get an IUD, just remember they last 3-7 years depending on the type of IUD that you get......but ALWAYS use a condom, please do not spread your herpes, be responsible!

Because both you and your partner have herpes, does not mean that you can still have unprotected sex. You will keep spreading it to each other. It will only make it worse. Use a condom and keep the herpes contained.

your doctor is the only one who can answer this question. he/she will evaluate your entire health history and discuss with you the best form of birth control. make an appointment.
