Pasilla or Pasilla roja ( a dried pepper that is usually rehdrated and then purred for sauces

pasilla can either be a dried chilaca or poplano(ancho)chile

Good luck with the roasting mabey you could make a vingary sauce with the pasilla to can the roasted poblanos in.
