No- that can be a good thing. Blood must flow to all the tissues in the body to transport oxygen and waste products. He is feeling the pulse in his fingers.

I'm pretty sure these are known as heart palpitations. They are somewhat common and can be the cause of heart disease or nothing at all. Is he active before he feels his heart beat or does he do anything at all to cause the heart beat?

I get that too, in my fingertips and other places. I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with it. I have been told that it's just my heart working overtime to get the blood to other places in my body, but that could be wrong.

no, you do have a pulse were ever you have blood vessels, just most blood vessels are too deep to feel. just means he has good blood flow and a strong heart.

i am not a doctor but it sounds like maybe high blood pressure.have your husband see a doctor asap.good luck.
