In fact I'am vegan. I was getting into an argument with someone they kept saying it's not vegan on a count of all the organisms that live in it. So what do you say?

Technically speaking, the microorganisms that you would find in water are not animals, but belong in other kingdoms (Monderna, for prokaryotes like bacteria and some algae; Mycota for fungi; Protista for protists like an amoeba; and Plantae for plants.)

Some considered/consider amoebas, yeast, and blue-green algae to be in the animal kingdom, but this view largely fell out of favor in the 1970's.

Assuming the consensus view outlined first, water is vegan.

Water is. It is not a living organism. It is a chemical component called H2o, which is made up of 2 atoms/molocules of hydrogen and one of oxygen. Since it it not an animal, water is vegan-friendly.

I am assuming you are referring to microscopic creatures or bacteria that may live in our drinking water .. water is absolutely considered Vegan .. just as we have tons of bacteria on us ..mites in our eyelids ..etc etc ..we wash off , vacuum up and wash away lots of what we can not see , but this is very different then taking a living , breathing animal's life to merely satisfy our taste buds ..please do not split hairs as we have chosen to give up eating animals by choice .. We believe it is wrong to abuse , use and kill them .. OK ?

Making fun or us vegans, eh?

To freesumpin: breast milk is vegan if you are talking about human breasts. As long as it's given willingly.
