You say a "FEW KEY PEOPLE." Should we take that to mean key people as in perhaps your "Boss" or other people of influence? If so, these won't be people you want to get drunk, right? Booze + Sun = Bad scene quick like.
(save those parties for neighbors friends and family!!!! yehaw!!)
If I am picking up on the Key People thing right, do something very refreshing and light. Do not commit the ultimate sin, no matter what you do RUN OUT OF ICE!!! Keep some reserves hidden somewhere.
A party store will have some of those cute stirrers or fancy straws that can go with your theme. Don't make it something people will get tired of right away. Make sure you have the back up standards for a pool party and for the party poopers.
Now I could do a Long Island Iced Tea all day. BUT....You would probably wish you had not started out that way.
Make sure you have all the fun bar goodies ready - lemon, lime etc.
Look at the websites they gave you here. I will be waiting for the invite!!!!

Nothing livens up a pool party like a party-punch! In a punch bowl mix: ice, orange juice, pineapple juice, Malibu rum, Meyers rum and Bacardi. When I make it, I mix all the above in the punch bowl (to my taste...how strong I want the rum vs. the juices) and at the end, I splash grenadine in each glass for a nice "sunset" look. Yummy, easy and guaranteed to bring the life to your party. Good luck!

This site has a recipe for 5 gallons of margaritas. If you make up a batch, you are finished with the mixing of the drinks for the night.

frozen blended rum or tequila drinks are winners for outdoor parties. If your lookin gto go cheap buy the "bucket" of margarita mix, add takillya and put in freezer, its a great frozen margarita and no work, if your going to do the work , frozen tequila sunrise, ice, orange juice and tequila, blend, pour ad spalsh of marshino cherry juice and a cherry.

Pool party? No better excuse to have some killer koolaid. It's cheap to make as well, can be dressed up with slices of orange and marachino cherries, and is delicious.

Sangria is a nice elegant wine punch to serve. You can dress it up with fruit slices. It's really simple to make, so please don't buy those big gallon jugs of Sangria in the store. This looks like a good one, and you can tweak it as you like

The Mojito. Kind of sounds gay when you say it, and personally I hate rum.
