1)Yes,fruits and veggies have very small amount of calories.

2)Eat a variety of "whole foods," with plenty of beans, nuts, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid unhealthy foods like trans fats, which are usually listed as partially hydrogenated oils. Deep-fried foods often contain trans fats. Choose margarines that use nonhydrogenated oil, like Earth Balance or Smart Balance. Although a diet consisting of Coke and French fries is technically vegan, you can't be healthy if you eat nothing but junk food. Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 is produced by bacteria, and some experts believe that vegetarians used to get plenty of this vitamin from bacteria in drinking water. Since drinking water is now treated with chemicals that kill the bacteria, it's important to make sure that you get enough vitamin B12 from fortified foods (like most brands of soy or rice milks, some breakfast cereals, and many brands of nutritional yeast, also eggs and milk) on a daily basis or by taking a sublingual B12 tablet of 10 mcg per day

Iron-beans, dark green leafy vegetables (like spinach),whole grain breads, Also eat something with vitamin c when you eat something with iron, it increases absorption

Calcium-dark green leafy vegetables (spinach, broccoli, soymilk)

Protein-Isn't really hard to get, just eat a variety of foods, good sources are beans, brown rice, nuts, whole grain breads, soy foods

Omega-3 fatty acids-flax seeds/oil,walnuts,canola oil

Zinc-pumpkin seeds (best source), beans and lentils, yeast, nuts, seeds and whole grain cereals

Selenium-Brazil nuts are a particularly good source of selenium, so try to eat a couple every day. Eating a small bag of mixed unsalted nuts can be a convenient way to get your daily selenium intake, but make sure it contains Brazils. Bread and eggs also provide some selenium.

Vitamin D- Vitamin D, often called the sunshine vitamin, is another common deficiency in those not drinking vitamin D fortified milk. Synthetic vitamin D is added to both cow’s milk and most brands of soy milk today.

Vitamins A (beta carotene),C, K, E and Folate-variety of fruits and veggies

Iodine-Iodine is a trace mineral that's important for healthy thyroid function. Table salt is the most common and reliable source of iodine in Americans' diets. (However, sodium in processed foods usually does not contain iodine.) If you don't consume table salt, you can get iodine from a multivitamin or from kelp tablets.

3)You can find many types of breads free of eggs and milk.

I would NOT recommend you become a vegetarian before learning a few more things about plant based nutrition-like the simple fact that very few breads are made with eggs. Also that many vegetarians do eat eggs and dairy, especially if they are changing their diet for reasons other than ethical.
Do not expect that if you quit eating meat the weight will melt off-many vegetarian foods are just as fattening as meat. What could magically happen is that you will quickly become ill if you don't learn about the nutrients available from plant foods and sources of protein other than almonds and peanuts (did you ever hear of BEANS?).

When people have a craving for protein, it is really an addictive craving for cooked protein. Cooked protein does not feed the body. You can get all the protein you need from raw plant food -- yes, even fruit has protein. How is it that a cow can grow hundreds of pound of protein flesh from simple grass which hardly contains any protein at all? It is not protein that is necessary to develop proteins in your body, but the essential amino acids which are present in raw fruits and vegetables. The mass frenzy on the subject of protein is the product of an elaborate media campaign by the meat and dairy industries to push their products. The truth is no one ever suffers from a protein deficiency -- and certainly no one ever dies from one. But people die of protein poisoning en masse every day. Heart attacks, strokes, cancer, etc. are all the inevitable results of overburdening the body with cooked animal proteins.

People always ask us how we are able to get protein without eating any animal products, taking any pills or drugs, or eating any cooked foods whatsoever. The truth is, no natural animal ever tampers with its food. The strongest, most powerful creatures are the herbivores. A gorilla can benchpress 4000 lbs. A gorilla never eats anything except raw plant foods. A chimpanzee looks skinny but it can rip a car door off of its hinges. It's just logic. 99% of human DNA is identical to the chimpanzee. The tribes of chimps that hunt and eat meat are much weaker and don't live nearly as long as all other chimps. Simply put -- Nothing unnatural can ever have any good effect on the human body. Cooked foods such as meats, breads, pastas, steamed veggies, etc. are totally unnatural and have massive harmful effects on the human organism.

I myself, never eat bread, I'm a fruitarian

Becoming a vegetarian is a great way to diet and become healthier. Take a multi vitamin daily to ensure you are getting the vitamins and minerals you need. A lot of protein can come from cereals and dark green leafy things have a iron and stuff in it. You don't NEED eggs to make products...search for good recipes and you will find them!

It depends, Vegetarians can eat sweets, and candy, depending on what its made with. By cutting out meat you cut out a lot of fats, as with any diet you have to watch what you eat and how much, It is true you can eat more vegetables and cut calories, but as with anything there are veggies with a high carb count, such as carrots and peas (on the Atkins diet you have to cut these out). So for me to answer this question, yes you can lose weight as a vegetarian if you eat a balanced diet and avoid eating high calorie foods and exercise. To address the use of dairy products, some vegetarians eat eggs, milk, and cheese as long as the animals it comes from are raised and treated in a humane environment, these products state on the label, that the animals are free roaming or free range, meaning humanly treated. It is a personal choice, myself I prefer soymilk, less fat and I am lactose intolerant. So in answer to the question about eating bread, yes some vegetarians eat bread because they eat dairy, but vegans do not eat any animal product at all. There are recipes for bread with out eggs and milk. Health food stores carry products with out eggs, milk, and butter. Some people have allergies to eggs and milk so health food stores carry a variety of products for every one. There is also a product called textured vegetable protein and they use it to make meat substitutes that have a texture similar to meat and are high in protein. Tofu is another good source of protein as is soymilk. Soymilk is fortified with minerals and vitamins. So vegans and vegetarians have an excellent choice of foods to eat that are satisfying and healthy. To be a VEGAN or VEGETARIAN is a life changing choice. The majority of people who give up meat do so because they are turned off by how the animals are treated prior to killing and face it, it ruins my appitite to think that the meat I am about to eat was once a live animal that people go to farms and say, "aw, look at the cute little baby calf, oh and those baby pigs are so cute and sweet", then they go home and have a BBQ with hotdogs and hamburgers, made out of the mommy and daddy of those baby animals. Like any diet you go on you will have cravings for the meat, your body has to get used to not having it. I would hope that deciding to go meatless would be because of the in humane treatment of animals and that taking an animals life for any reason is wrong. Check out PETA.org, there are a lot of actors and actresses that are meatless for this very reason. Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone, Tobey Maguire, Joaquin Phoenix, and Clint Eastwood to name a few. But giving up meat for any reason is great. I hope I have answered your questions and given helpful information to anyone reading this. There are more foods out there to eat other than meat and not just fruit and nuts, check out peta.org for a free vegetarian kit (must be over 13 to order). It is free and full of information and recipes.

yes, it is a good way to diet because meat gives you like more fat, so being a vegetarian is like healthy and good because you're not killing any animals first of all. there is a special kind of bread which has no eggs.

that third question is probably more for vegans considering vegetarians can eat eggs, but vegetarianism is not a good way to diet unless you take care of yourself and eat RIGHT, no meat is not necessarily completely healthy, someone can be a vegetarian but drink tons of soda and eat junk food, soo...... and tofu and soy have TONS of protein and a lot of vegetarians take vitamins.
