Herpes simplex virus 2 is usually genital herpes.

However, herpes simplex virus 2 can cause BOTH genital herpes and cold sores.

Herpes simplex virus 1 can also cause both cold sores and genital herpes, but it's usually responsible for cold sores.

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about three yrs ago, whilst I was still in college and had a foolish one-night stand. I realize loads of girls say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores round her private parts? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/2QlQd everything changed.

Not only was I able to eliminate all remnants of the hsv from my system in less than 3 weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

There are many different types of herpes simplex viruses (HSV) that are categorised based on viral typing, medium of transmission and diseases they result in.

The two common ones are HSV-1 and HSV-2.
HSV-1 is the major cause of cold sores whereas HSV-2 is genital herpes.

However this does not mean that HSV-1 cannot cause genital herpes. 90% of HSV-2 compared to 10% of HSV-1 causes genital herpes.

HSV type 1 most commonly infects the mouth and lips, causing sores known as fever blisters or cold sores. It is also an important cause of sores to the genitals.
HSV type 2 is the usual cause of genital herpes, but it also can infect the mouth.
