Were these women abused?

Some cite the reason for this. I would think it was true, but would never do that personally. How do you feel about it?

Poeple do things that they believe will ehlp them to fel loved accepted, wanted. Also it may be the only way for them to raise their family, (or so they see.) Never been in a position where that was necessary.
Always comes back to choice.

I sympathize with your point.

However, if the idea is that men disrespect women because of pornography, I counter that in the real world, a man is _far_ more likely to disrespect a woman because she's into horoscopes or because she believes she has special intuitive powers.

There is no way of knowing without asking each one in turn what their ordeals were in life. However, exploited they certainly were.
