I was raised catholic but now I am just nothing. I don't consider myself athiest because athiests don't believe. I wouldn't say I don't believe, I just don't KNOW because nothing has been proven to me. I am very rational and logical and open minded to any possibility. I believe in being kind to others, truth, humanity, helping others in need, peace, harmony, equality, loyalty, love, and a lot of things Jesus mentioned.
It is like I am an "I-Have-No-opinionist" because who am I to take a stand on something I can never be certain of?
But by saying I am not sure, does that put me in a category or am I my own category?

I think I can address some of your questions without referring to religion at all.

I have this desire within me to know my Creator even though I don't know for sure that my Creator even exists. I think you do too or you would not be asking this question.

If my Creator exists, it makes sense that He put that desire to know Him into my head.

If He put that desire into my head, then it can only be an invitation to seek Him.

But here comes a problem. Finding my Creator will not just mean finding His love for me but also His moral authority over me. I'll no longer be able to say that I am the master of my fate and captain of my soul. If you truly love someone, you cannot simultaneously live independent of that someone.

So the root of your dilemma is not in believing something about God, i.e. religion, but in a determination to seek your Creator even while not knowing for sure if He even exists.

Agnostics live their lives independent of God so what they intellectually think about the existence of God doesn't matter.

Read in the book of Revelation, the message to the 7 churches... Take note when you get to the church of Laodecia. Jesus said, "You are neither hot nor cold for Me, you are lukewarm, so I vomitted you out of my mouth"!

Jesus Christ doesn't want "1/2 butted" followers.

Eternity is a long time to wish you had made a better choice!

Read the Gospel of John and find out for yourself and find out why Jesus Christ is the Lord of all the universe!!!!!

Don't worry - there are hordes of people in that category. The way our organised religions have progressed, it is difficult to believe everything stated in them as gospel truth for science has already laid bare the actual truth.
