Details:

I just learned the word just now, but i didn't know if i should use it in my conversation. For example, i can say "She resembles her brother in the way she looks." Should i use it? I have no idea weather i could be understood by U all.

Thanks you very much!

Well, I don't say it very often, but I think most native speakers understand it. It's probably more common in writing.

Your example sentence is easily understandable, but it might sound more natural if you added a "but"--for example,

She resembles her brother in the way she looks, but their personalities are completely different.

Otherwise, as the poster above said "She looks like her brother" would be more natural-sounding.

But I say go for it! Too few people like to try out new words!

I don't hear the word "resemble" often in conversation. I think "she looks like her brother" is more common than "she resembles her brother," but both make sense.
