To date, both men and women have 24 ribs. God obtaind a rib from Adam's chest on the left side. This place is chosen so as not to make him disabled.

maybe adam had an odd number of ribs.... God is perfect....
maybe adam got an odd number of ribs and too one out to make eve with same number of ribs...

remmember eve was created using a rib so God could create her with the same number of ribs like adam....
not sure ....

only God knows...
