A real friend is someone you can trust. A person that you know will be there no matter what. If I call my best friend and say I need she says I'm on the way. She never says you owe me or when will I get it back. She has a couch that I can crash on and she knows were the key is to my house if she needs my couch. She is also the person who will say go change your pants, they make your butt look big. She knows I won't get offended or angry and will say thanks for telling me. She is the person I tell "you got a booger" before we walk into the restaurant instead of letting the waiter laugh at her. She is the same one who will tell the waiter, behind my back, "it's her birthday." She knows I hate it and she loves it and I love her for it. That is a real friend.

Someone who will be there for you no matter what. No back-stabbing, no dumping, no 'like this one day, like that the other'. And one that you feel yourself with and that they are comfortable with you. They will comfort you, care about you and will be true to you. They won't lie or insult you, they will tell you the truth gently and caringly. They won't be envious of you, and is there for you when the world turns against you, and not just for show.. I really hope everyone finds a real friend in their life... :)

A person who cares for you unconditionally despite the choices you make in life. Someone who will not ridicule you if your life doesn't go to plan or if you make a mistake. A person who is willing to listen to you and you to them. Someone who is willing to sort out a problem if the friendship goes sour. Finally, a person who can be themselves with you and you with them.
That is a real friend to me.
