I have 5 kids but planned only 3. You see it is not how many you can have but how many you can adequately provide a decent life that is the more important question to ask.
Children are gifts from God to us. If we could love them as god wants us to love them, then go ahead have many children as you can.
Medically, a woman is at risk if her pregnancy is more than 5 especially if the spacing is less than 2 years. This is advised to allow the uterus to come back into its prime stage before being impregnated again. You see a uterus is like a balloon. The more you inflate it often, the weaker it become and thus the danger of rupture or bleeding.

We have 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl, both planned, had been trying for about 4 years for first child, and was in process of having a higher dosage of clomide when i found out i was 16 weeks pregnant already, went back on pill for a while after he was born, then came off and if another came along then that would be great, and luckily 2 years later our daughter was born, and again i was 18 weeks pregnant when i found out. So both were extremely wanted, i would like another one, but my partner not so keen, he thinks we got 2 healthy kids, i didnt have too many problems in pregnancy so why tempt fate, and realistically i know 2 is plenty for us financially, but doesnt stop you feeling broody every now and then. My son who is 10 says i too old (37!!!) he heard it on a programme that women over 35 are at risk! but both children would quite like a baby, but think they would be a bit fed up after a while, so wel keep visiting our friends who have just had twins.

We have twins that weren't planned. Myself and my partner had only been together a matter of weeks before we found out they were on their way; we weren't even living together!! I had been told a few months earlier that I only had a 1 in 10 chance of ever conceiving after suffering from cervical cancer, so we kind of threw caution to the wind! We're now happily married and the twins are nearly 4. I was lucky having a girl and a boy so I didnt need to try for any more although when I see babies on the TV i get really broody. Tough luck - hubby's now had the snip!! Its a good thing really, I couldnt do those night feeds again!

I have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I always said I wanted 4!
Now, aged 42 and in a new marriage to a wonderful man, who hasnt any children of his own, I am hoping for baby number 5. I am not under any pressure from him for another, I just love him to bits, we have a great relationship and a baby would be the icing on the cake!

My wife and I have six between us with a seventh on the way.
My first is nearly 8yo and lives with her mother but I havn't seen her since she was 8mnths old- through no fault of my own. Star is her name and she was planned although it took us awhile because at that time I was living pretty hard and my sperm count was down but it did happen.
Then when my current wife and I met she had 3 girls aged 14, 8 and 5, they wre all planned as far as I know. Since then we have had Holly-May (Nov 05) and Ada Jean (Dec 06). Holly was definately planned and during my wife's pregnancy with her we had jokingly discussed putting another in the cot when we pulled Holly out, well imagine our surprise when we found out that we were expecting again when Holly was just a few months old. And along came Ada, not properly planned but as good as. Now Ada isn't quite 6mnths old and we find out that there is another one on the way, this one was definately not planned but we are very happy none the less. We hope and pray that this one will be a boy as we have all girls at the moment and there will be no more after this one. However in saying that if it does turn out to be a girl we will be happy aslong as it is safe and healthy.

3 girls 10, 13 & 14, none were actually planned. Had been trying to concieve for ages before my 1st, then relationship ended, I met someone else and was on the pill, fell pregnant about 8 months into that relationship, big surprise but welcome. 2nd time my 1st daughter was about 2 months old wne I got pregnant, also not planned, was planning on getting a coil fitted. 3rd I had a coil fitted, obviously it didn't work !!!
So each time was a surprise but it was a lot better than stressing and hoping that I would become pregnant as I had previously done.
