And what does that say about us as people? I read some of the comments on other questions re the war and there were so many saying" we have not killed enough of them" or " we are there trying to make them humane". It sounds very nazi to me. What makes people write such ugly idiotic stuff?

If Americans weren't dying in Iraq and Afganistan, then most people in the US wouldn't even know those countries existed.

What does that say about us? It says that we only worry about that which directly affects us. That's not necessarily a good thing, but it's the truth.

People say "idiotic stuff" due to ignorance. They don't know, haven't taken the time to find out, or simply see one side of the story. They either don't want, or don't care, to know the other side.

I am against the war for many reasons. The soldiers getting killed is but one. The high cost to the American taxpayer is another.

Additionally, I do not support the USA being the worlds policeman. I believe we should have a strong military to protect what we have and leave the other countries of the world alone.

We should have a very strong immigration policy and no open borders as we do to the south. Presently, the invasion of Mexicans, in my view, is doing more harm to the USA that Iraq ever could.

liberals used this to mask the power grab from the razor thin mandate of oh six. it covered 757gate, granting liberal non taxpaying territories voting rights in conflict with the us constitution and so on. its shameful, but if the pelosi/reid regime can get more mileage out of it, they will surely take it. liberals dont care, as evidenced by cut and run and would remain against the war for idealistic purposes. its sad that they would use soldiers lives like that, but thats clearly the plan.

Absolutely. Most of the other nations view it negatively so I would imagine that it wouldn't be much different although we wouldn't be as vehemently opposed to one another as we are now.

Ignorance, pride, hypocrisy, money, power, fame, hate and corruption are some of the reasons that make people say horrible things about others. The sad thing is that some of them actually believe what they say. I'm glad you're not one of them.

I'm against war altogether, because of it killing anybody. Both Americans and Iraqis don't deserve to die.
War ape Bush doesn't seem to care,at all, that his war is killing innocents and destroying the minds of Iraqi children. The kids have to walk past dead bodies to go to school. The war needs to buzz off and any follower of it needs to grow a brain.Bush
is a death tyrant without a conscience, but he will get it in the end.

I was against the war even before they actually went over there because of the way Bush was handling the whole situation. I really feel bad for whoever wins the election next year because they are going to be dealing with so much BS from every single American and their stance on the war.

It was Bush (not the American people) who decided to go to war in Iraq. He was the one that suspected that they had WMD's and more. A number of Americans are opposed to the war in Iraq.

The only bleeding hearts that make any sense are the ones who talk about not being in the middle of a civil war.

All the ones who talk about us killing them and us getting killed are just talking nonsense that the liberal Fox News or CNN told them.

Not many of us get killed and we don't kill many of them. They kill alot of each other though.

I think more people would be for this war if they actually saw what good was coming out of it. You guys are only getting the bad side of everything....
