First of all u r not overweight. u r BMI(body mass index) is 23.8 where as 25 to 28 is overweight and below 18 is underweight.
so there is no hurry to lose weight. follow the simple steps and u can reduce u r weight over period of time. Remember, dieting isn't a race. Weight loss shouldn't be rushed.
One theory of dieting is for you to consume each day the number of calories required for your desired or "ideal" body weight. Your body would slowly adjust on its own and assume the desired weight. Such dieting becomes progressively easier as you go along. Dieting shouldn't be rushed.
limit your daily intake to 2200 calories.
substitute cold water for warm or normal temp. water.
drink a little more water than u would usually but not too much.(2 to 2.5 liters)
You can easily lose a little weight by simply drinking cold water. Your body must burn a few calories to heat the water up to body temperature. It burns a few more calories to temporarily carry the weight of the water. That's that many fewer calories that are available for your weight.
don't make big changes to your diet it would be harmful.just slight changes.
if u follow this itself u would lose about 5 kilos in a year and would have a perfect BMI about 21
and thats enough considering u r not at all overweight.

For your height, you should be roughly 50kg. The best way to lose that is NOT to diet. The worst thing you can ever do is diet. I'm 12, and I'm roughly 5" "3 and 47kg, but I'm underweight because I was born 3 months early. The best way of getting rid of weight is exercising and eating small snacks every 3-4 hours (small snacks being fruit, veg, small amounts of tomato pasta, and avoid crisps, chips and stuff like that.) But the most important thing is NOT to visualise yourself as fat then go on what you think is a diet, but it's actually a month of starvation. Don't think "I am fat" because you're probably just a firm built person with a lot of muscle. The important thing is - DON'T binge, DON'T become anorexic, and DON'T become bulimic. That's all. Savour your food and you will definitely not feel hungry.

You should'nt have to do this by yourself. Have a talk with your parents about your concerns. Meet with a nutritionist/ doctor who will advice your parents with what diet is best for the whole family. Yoga is a great way to ease yourself into a healthy lifestyle. Once you start feeling more confident, join a sport at school, or dance classes. At 12 your body is probably going through tremendous changes. By the time you are 16/17 it will settle into a body type. So dont do anything drastic. Remember being healthy is more important. Aim for fitness than slimness. You seem to be a very aware young person, so please dont believe everything you see or read in the media.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

You need to do lots of sports. Like I am 16 and I weigh 58. But I am not thin. Don't bother about what people think about you. Just do lots of sports. I want to tell you it's being activeness that matters not being slim. So stop playing video games and get *** up and play real game. That will help you be what you want.
Good luck!

being 12 I wouldn't go to etremes with exercise and diet yet, your body is still growing and figuring itself out, I would try and participate in some after school sports for atleast and hour 3 or more times a week e.g netball, athletics, gymnastics or the likes, as for eating make sure it is healthy.. have a good breakky such as a bannana and honey on toast or a bowl of prooidge or wheat bix..for lunch have wholemeal tuna or chicken and lettuce sandwich's, snacks - fresh fruit & nuts, amd dinners lots of steamed vege's and lean meat...and dont forget to drink lots of water lots of water..
