There is a quote from the Talmud that I think is appropriate for this question.

Woman was created from the rib of man.
She was not made from a part of his head to top him,
nor was she made from his feet to be trampled on.
She was created out of his side to equal him,
under his arm to be protected by him
and near his heart to be loved.

.In the creation of woman, God did not make her separate and distinct from man by forming her from the dust of the ground, as he had done in the creation of Adam. He took a rib from Adam’s side, and from it He built for Adam a perfect counterpart, the woman Eve. Now united as ‘bone of bone and flesh of flesh’ Adam and Eve as thus, were now inseparable (Ge 2:21-23; De 32:4)

The Word of God does not elaborate on that fact. So honestly I don't have any clue other than to quote anyother scripture that says that God does to His Good Pleasure. May God Bless U.

This is one of the errors of Moses that Jesus corrected for us in the apocryphon of John. The god in Genesis is NOT GOD.
