When she smiles at a guy everytime he comes around and the fact that she doesn't smile often, she also smiles when a guy flirts with her ex(tickle her ribs), and sometimes the guy puts his arm around her and she doesn't brush him off but when other guys try it she brushes them off. Are those signs of interest?

possibly but as mentioned by someone else before could be she likes u as a friend.
It is human nature that when you want something, you are only seeing the positive vibes, or misinterpret them. So do tread carefully. It doesnt hurt to ask her for a date, but do be prepared for a possible YES and a NO. If it is a NO, dont be sab by it, at least she likes u as a freind and smiles at you, when she doesnt smile often. :)

Like...yeah...sounds like she could use a lot of it from you if that's the only time she smiles...make her happy...women love it when men pay attention to them..it makes them feel like they are worthy of being a woman. Men don't realize how much a woman loves attention..the biggest turn off to a woman is being ignored...I say..you have it in the palm of your hand if you can hold on to it!
