You know what?! Don't go see a DR. for your so-called depression or anxiety.........let me let you in on a little SECRET.....
wait, it should be no secret. You are what matters, you are all you got. Pick yourself up. The worst thing you can do is fall into allowing people to pat you on your back and say "it's alright, it'll get better soon", when they only say that because they are sure glad their not feeling like you. Pitty is never an option, NEVER. I'm currently in school at a private junior college, I was the class president for 7 months, longest tenure in the program. I was on the Dean's list for few months streak. NO! Don't say, "Well, thats you" That's everyone!! We all have this drive, this hunger, this strength within' ourselves. It's what get's us out of bed, or what makes us finish a sentence. Look, the time for you is now, tomarrow the time will still be now, two years from now the time will still be now....get what i'm saying?? You are always going to be there for you, so make your life possible. No one can take your choices away from you....no one! Severe social anxiety?? I know what you mean, but I feel so much better keeping to myself, don't you?? I graduate soon, and thats my accomplishment, my goal I set and tend to make it happen, because i choose to. Life is too short to waste time...NO, your LIFE hasn't even begun until you say so. My advice is go to an adult school near you and get your H.S. diploma(took me only a few months or so) then enroll in a business college, such as San Jaoquin Valley College or any other business college's near you. I got the opportunity to be certified in the computer field and am garunteed my A.S. degree(18 months is all it takes). If you think about that....you can be finished with your schooling and have a carreer(and a better resume) in a matter of 24 months(give or take). Easy as breathing. So don't let the false state of mind(depression) that ravages many people of our generation. Be you and only you will be.
THE Seven RULES OF LIFE
• PUT OTHERS BEFORE YOU
• LET YOUR ACTIONS SPEAK AS LOUD AS YOU SPEAK YOUR WORDS
• DO NOT DWELL ON THE WRONG DOINGS OF OTHERS FOR IN DOING SO YOU ARE IN THE WRONG
• LOVE, LAUGH, YELL, FIGHT, CRY, SCREAM. LET IT OUT NEVER KEEP IT IN, FOR YOU BECOME A TERRORIST TO YOUR OWN HEART, MIND, AND BODY/SOUL
• MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES, AND STAND BY THEM, IF THEY TURN OUT TO BE THE WRONG CHOICE, ADMIT YOUR WRONG DOING AND PICK YOURSELF UP, PITTY IS NEVER AN OPTION
• LIVES ARE MEANT TO BE LIVED, NO MATTER THE QUALITY, SO LET US LET LIVE THE LIVING, AND LET THE DEAD SLEEP
• JEALOUSY AND ENVY ONLY LEAD TO DEATH, SO BE HAPPY IN WHAT YOU HAVE AND KEEP CARE TO IT SO IT MAY LAST A LIFETIME
Everyone has a purpose, and unique talents......maybe it's your time to touch the world and the people in it.
P.S. In many people's eyes I had no future....I was just another dope head criminal roaming the streets with no goals or accomplishments, a quitter so to speak. naw, I don't want the last laugh, a humble slilence will suffice.

No one ever succeeded in life by not trying or taking chances. You have to just stand up and say "I am tired of being afraid or failure." Maybe some of the social anxiety is because you were homeschooled. Did you get to spend a lot of time around other kids your age? Maybe you should talk to a professional about this problem so they can help you. With no GED and/or college you stand to be stuck in dead-end jobs with little or no advancement because of your lack of education. You need to think of your future. What do you want to do?

The GED test is easy. Just take it. If you fail, you can try again. There are such things as GED prep courses, your local college might have them. You can take that if you are worried.
As for college, start as a part-time student, see how things are going and then go full time. Colleges usually have programs to help students with learning as well as psychologists that you can speak with to help you deal with your social anxiety. These sorts of programs are usually covered by your tuition or only require a very minimal fee.

If you're looking for an answer, the answer is simple. If you're looking for an easy answer, however, there is none.
Simply said, the answer is, like the cliche, to face your fear. There are counselors and psychotherapists out there who can try to get you to do so, but in the end, the decision is still up to you to get out there and put yourself in a position to succeed (but which makes you vulnerable). Easier said than done, right?
What is easy is how to explain your fears. Fear and avoidance make a vicious cycle. Fear breeds avoidance, but when you avoid things, you become more fearful the next time around. Oh sure, avoidance makes you feel less fearful temporarily, but in the long run you just become more afraid.
So you're stuck in this vicious cycle. The bad news? Vicious cycles are hard to break because each step feeds on each other. The good news? Vicious cycles are easy to break because if you take away just one step, the whole thing falls away.
While there are some people who can just turn off fear, most normal humans do can more realistically change what they do in response to fear. In your case, that means NOT avoiding situations in which you may be judged, embarrassed, or humiliated. It's not because these things won't happen (they do to all of us), but because if they do, it's not the end of the world, and they have to happen sometimes anyway if you're going to succeed.
All I can suggest is why you think the way you do, but it's still up to you to decide if it's worth it to break this cycle. Like I said, the answer is simple but hard. Good luck

Finals are merely one extra step interior the usually-arbitrary equipment that our training has grow to be, and many it won't rely previous no rely in case you exceeded or failed. while making use of for a job a year from now, your potential corporation won't care no rely in case you get carry of an A or a C on a very final, on condition which you have any journey, a level, or a sparkling paintings ethic. you basically would desire to earnings, positioned your sport-face on, and get it over with. As you have observed, self-doubt is self-defeating.

I have 2 friends who dropped out of school when they were juniors and got GEDs. They both said that the test is really easy. If you fail, you don't lose anything. If you pass, you gain a GED
About the anxiety, don't use drugs for that or you'll be dependent on them. Otherwise, drugs are good.

Firstly, whoever is feeding you this garbage should be shout off some how. You should look into your history books for successful people without an 'education' and you will find that more than one individual, well known, respected and rich - came from home schooled communities or learnt it for themselves. You are what you believe you are. You will have what you allow yourself to have and you will do what you feel capable of doing - but it first comes from you, your decisions and how you write that into your life's story.

This is my main reason to be against home schooling. its the over protection and the lack of social development that really hurts home school children. basically you just need to suck it up and go for it. also talk to your dr about depression and anxiety.
