Hi,
Recently I came to know that the fresh passports those are being issued now a days are all entitled for ECNR category i.e. they wont be having separate ECNR stamps from now onwards. However for ECR category they will be having “ECR” stamping. My passport doesn’t has any stampings on it neither ECR nor ECNR (as per the new rule I guess). My Agent told me that if No stamppings are there (ECR or ECNR) then it is automatically entitled for ECNR status. If any one aware of this, please let me know. Do I have to apply for ECNR or it is already entitled to have one.

Thanx in advance
Sudeep

Sudeep, your agent is right. As per the new passport regulation all are automatically entitled for the ECNR status. So you don't have to apply for the ECNR again.
