Most PC's don't accept more than 3-4GB of RAM. In fact, WinXP / XP Pro can only use 4 GB of RAM.

You have to buy a workstation class PC to handle 5 GB of RAM, and it's iffy even then. Same with regular Vista. You'll need XPx64 or Vista 64 to use more than 4 GB of RAM (Or Linux, I guess...)

The only system that will handle 5 GB Ram are newer servers? You need to look at the numbers of slots available in your Server to see how what you need to buy. 5 GB of RAM is going to be a very expensive upgrade.

I think you misread something or something. No program requires 5gb of RAM to run. NONE. If you tell me what the program is, I might be able to help.
