VGA generally means an image which is 640 pixels wide by 480 pixels high. This is 307,200 pixels (less than 1/2 a mega-pixel) close to the image quality of a standard definition TV. VGA uses only a fraction of your camera's ability to make quality images. It is good for emails because the file size is small. You could make small prints but enlargements would look very coarse.

You should not take pictures in VGA mode if you (also) want to use those shots to make prints. You won't have enough resolution.
Instead, make full use of your camera's capabilities and shoot everything at best quality. When you want to email something, run those pictures through an image editor to *reduce* the file size and save those small files under a new name.

Post-card and wallet sized prints will be fine. Anything larger will show the limited resolution

It would be good enough to be posted on the Internet. But if you are expecting higher resolution on a hard copy, you will be disappointed.

yes it does give you good pictures but it also limit you on the print out size. i would say 3R print out will be nice anything bigger than that will reduce the image quality.

no, coz its resolution is very low (almost half megapaxel) but it is nice for e-mailing due to the small capacity on invidual pix.
