i especially love the people who are getting angered by this question. It's a silly question meant for fun, if ya don't want to answer it, dont'! it's really that simple.

This question gets asked over and over again but it's an impossible scenario because for the rock to be so large that it could not be moved, it would have to be resting on something even larger. There would be an infinite series of objects, each larger than the previous one, and there would be absolutely no way this is possible. It'd be like one of those M.C. Escher drawings that continue into infinity but which cannot be created in the physical world.

Contradictory Premises (also known as a logical paradox): Establishing a premise in such a way that it contradicts another, earlier premise. For instance, "If God can do anything, he can make a stone so heavy that he can't lift it." The first premise establishes a deity that has the irresistible capacity to move other objects. The second premise establishes an immovable object impervious to any movement. If the first object capable of moving anything exists, by definition, the immovable object cannot exist, and vice-versa.

Could He create something so expansive he couldn't fathom it? It's is not strengh of body but of faith. But let not get too far off track. God is massive, huge, infinate, etc. So our minds (though powerful and large as they may be) cannot fully comprehend a being as colossal as "God".

I've heard that question before. It's a trick question. If He can't, it means He's not all powerful, right?
Well, He can. But He won't. That would be a stupid thing to do if you're God.

Yeah, He probably could make one so large He could not move, but it would only be for a limited time.

There is no rock large enough that God can not move it.

oh come on enough with "If god is so powerful could he do this?" of course he can and God can still pick up the rock because hes all strength, power, authority, religion and how dare you to question his strength.
